Sultan Gate

The floor is one room on Kandahar Street, not a tower of departments. Steel table, pinned boards, a shelf of proofing tools, and a lamp that stays on later than the street lights. That is Sultan Gate in practice: a single bench where architecture, direction, and copy are shaped in sight of each other.

Briefs are read at the table, not in a separate account room. We believe the work improves when the person marking copy can see the layout shift in real time. Clients visit for reviews; some seasons are fully remote with proofs couriered, but the room remains the reference point.

We are ClickBloom Forge Pte. Ltd., an independent campaign studio. This site describes our craft, our working methods, and the shapes an engagement can take. Outcomes depend on market, product, timing, and decisions outside our control — nothing here promises a particular commercial result. Scope is always agreed in writing before the bench is booked.

Kampong Glam is the right neighbourhood for this work. Kandahar Street sits between fabric shops and cafés that close early, with Sultan Mosque a few minutes away and the sound of the city thinning after dark. The building is a shophouse stack; we are on the third floor. Light is not generous, which suits us: the lamp defines the working hour.

If you walk from Bugis MRT, cut through Sultan Gate and turn onto Kandahar. The entrance is unmarked except for a small plate — we prefer visitors who have read the directions. The stairwell is narrow; we meet downstairs if mobility is a concern.

The studio keeps modest hours because campaign work here is concentrated, not endless. Mornings are for reading; afternoons for marking proofs. Evening sessions happen during launch weeks and are scheduled in advance. Visitors who arrive without an appointment may find the bench in use; we ask that review times are booked through mail.

Equipment on the floor is chosen for proofing, not spectacle. Calibrated monitor, print viewing lamp, paper trimmer, and a shelf of reference books. No slide-deck theatre. Reviews are conducted sitting or standing at the table with physical or PDF proofs at full size.

We opened on Kandahar Street because the neighbourhood tolerates small studios and late walks. Fabric merchants close before us; cafés reopen early. That rhythm suits seasons that heat slowly and release on a fixed date.

The signed note below is refreshed when studio practice changes. It is not a manifesto. It is what we want a new client to know before the first bellows hour.

We do not display client logos in the workroom or on this site. Quiet seasons are as valued as visible ones. Discretion is part of the trade.

Sustainability of practice matters to us: we take on a limited number of concurrent builds so proofs receive attention. When capacity is full, we say so in the first mail rather than accepting work we cannot hold to standard.

The district outside — Sultan Gate, Arab Street, the mosque call at dusk — reminds us that campaigns compete with real street life for attention. That keeps our orchestration honest about where messages actually meet people.
